About Us
Welcome to Special Places for Seniors
Special Places for Seniors is designed to assist families in finding professional options for social day care for seniors who may be living with them or living alone and needing mental and emotional stimulation during the day. This site is designed to make it easy to find qualitied adult day care services near your home or office.
Special Places personally selects only state licensed, high quality and experienced Assisted Living and Memory Care communities to provide the day care services. Each senior care community has residents living there full-time who may or may not need additional support and assistance. Gone are the days of the old “Nursing Homes”. The modern Assisted Living (AL) and Memory Care (MC)are designed specifically for seniors, they have daily age-appropriate activities for the residents, professional Chefs providing healthy meals and a professional staff.
The Special Places staff have selected only those communities who welcome adult day guests, who can join them for as little as two hours, and up to eight hours a day. During a senior’s visit, they will be introduced to residents, included in the daily events and activities and if attending during a mealtime, they will be escorted into the dining room to join others enjoying the professionally prepared meal. All the Communities staff are trained in working with seniors; they hold state licenses and have years of experience. There could not be a better or more appropriate place to have your loved ones spend time out of the home while enjoying the comradery with their peers.
Each of the communities have their hourly rate posted clearly on their information page. As an example, in the Seattle metro area the hourly rate ranges from $20 to $30 an hour for professional care and activities. This is very reasonable in comparison with rates for traditional babysitters or the option to retain an in-home care giver from one of the businesses providing visiting staff. Their rates are approximately $60 an hour with a four hour minimum.
Thank you for putting your faith in us to only select the most qualified Assisted Living facilities for your consideration.
